Summertime Sweets

During the past 2 weeks, I have had the pleasure of making 2 wedding cakes for two of the sweetest people. I had gone to school with both of them for years and was so excited that I would be able to contribute to their weddings. Danielle's cake was a 4 tier that was iced in vanilla buttercream, covered in ivory fondant and then covered in an intricate free-hand design. A moss green ribbon added a touch of elegance to the bottom of each tier. The top and bottom layers were double chocolate chip filled with vanilla buttercream, the second layer was lemon cake with raspberry mousse and the third was vanilla cake with lemon filling. Danielle and Taggert were married on May 28th of 2010 :)



Sari's cake was also a four-tier cake, all of them were double chocolate chip cake with raspberry filling. The cake was iced in light blue vanilla buttercream and a chocolate brown ribbon was added to each tier. A free-hand design was piped on the cake to add an interesting touch. Sari and Kyle were married on June 10, 2010. I wish both couples all the happiness in the world and the best of luck as they start their lives together!
